Video Monday: See Sharing in Action

July 22, 2019 by Katie Edwards0

I am continually inspired by the work of shared spaces across North America. The best way to share the message is to see it. Every time I travel, I seek out amazing spaces that support social change. But sometimes, travel isn’t in the cards. Here are three spaces you can visit virtually from our desktop through these videos:

Ed Roberts Campus, Berkeley, CA

Ed Roberts Campus is a home for disability rights organizations that embraces the principles of universal design. “Being in a place that is a world-class center on disability has made us realized we wanted to do more national programs and have a bigger impact on our community.”

ReCity Network, Durham, NC

ReCity blends inspiring photos of their spaces with how they are tracking their impact in the community in this great annual report.  Over half of their members are women or minority-led, making it one of the most diverse coworking spaces in their region.

The Literacenter, Chicago, Il

Collectively, this growing community is supporting a vision of a 100% literate Chicago. And did you spot the LiteraScooters?
