The Melinda Hoag Smith Center for Healthy Living

Ninety percent of maintaining good health is determined by factors other than direct health care. The Melinda Hoag Smith Center for Healthy Living will create a synergistic model of service delivery, by aligning a major hospital with like-minded non-profit organizations that share in the vision of making the vulnerable community healthier. Many non-profit agencies do not have offices in Newport Beach, Costa Mesa, or Huntington Beach because the rent/leases are cost prohibitive. To facilitate collaboration and build capacity in our community partner agencies, Hoag provides non-profit partners with physical space and resources through a hoteling model that allows our partner agencies to rotate in and out of the center.  The center’s goal is to inspire and empower our community to take control of their own health and wellbeing.
