Rosanne Stead, Governance Program Director
Tides, San Francisco, CA
Rosanne joined Tides in 2004 and quickly initiated the Governance program to become Governance Program Director three years later.  Previous to joining Tides, Rosanne taught English to factory workers in Italy; managed an independent bookstore; was the first Executive Director of the ATHENA Foundation, an international nonprofit organization honoring exceptional businesswomen mentors; established a gynecologic oncology practice with her brother, a cancer surgeon; and served as the executive director of a community development nonprofit. She spent years as president of a homeless shelter board, as city planning commissioner, as a capitol city chamber of commerce board member, and as vice chair of a downtown development authority. Rosanne holds a BA in psychology, sociology, and anthropology from Michigan State University and a Masters degree in urban studies from the University of Chicago. 

Dan Meyers, President

Dan has spent the last twenty-four years growing resources for a unique community network of independent service agencies passionately working together to take the “dis” out of disabilities for tens of thousands of people in and around Rochester.  Dan is the current Chairman of the Board for St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry.  He is Chairman of Greater Rochester Independent Practice Association, a partnership of Rochester General Health System and its physicians.  Additionally, he serves on the boards of several not-for-profit institutions and foundations.  In May, 2009, he received the President’s Medal for Service to the Rochester Community from his alma mater, St. John Fisher College.  In 2006 Dan was named the Executive of the Year from United Way/Rochester Business Journal.  Dan received an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Nazareth College in 2005.  He was named as the 2001 Outstanding Fundraising Executive by the international Association of Fundraising Professionals.
